Community Gift Tree on the Western Slope
This annual event in November is a collaboration between organizations in the community that serve low-income families and local businesses. Catalyst Community, the El Dorado County Office of Education, Happy Kids Preschool, CASA, and Alta Regional all select their neediest families to participate in the program. Gift cards that identify the needs and wishes of children are placed on trees throughout the community. Community members then select one or more cards, purchase gifts, and drop them off at convenient locations. Cash donations are accepted throughout the year. This year, the trees will go up on November 13, 2023 throughout the community. Contact us for more information: 530.676.0707

Diaper Drive
In recognition of Diaper Need Awareness Week, September 18– September 24, 2023, Catalyst Community will be conducting a diaper drive to provide clean diapers to families in need. Catalyst Community saw the need for a diaper bank in our community and started offering this as a resource to El Dorado County Families in 2015.  Our organization relies on the generosity of our community to continue providing this resource. We are asking for monetary donations to support this drive as well as donations of diapers and wipes. If you are interested in donating online, please click here. * We are always accepting donations for our diaper bank. We can accept open, clean packages of diapers. *
