SERVICES

Services for Families

We believe parents are their child’s first and most important teacher. At Catalyst Community, we provide essential tools and services to help you make confident, informed decisions for your family’s future.

Help Paying for Child Care

Need help paying for child care?

Our Alternative Payment Program (APP) supports income-eligible families in El Dorado and Alpine Counties. If your child is under 13 or has special needs, you may qualify. Families can choose any licensed or license-exempt provider.

Choosing Child Care

Finding the right child care starts with the right information.

We offer free, personalized referrals to options like State Preschool, Head Start, private centers, and licensed family care homes.

Child Care at Court

Need safe, reliable care while attending court?

We offer free, drop-in child care at courthouses in San Bernardino, Orange, Santa Clara, and Riverside Counties for parents handling legal matters. Qualified staff lead fun, age-appropriate activities.

TrustLine Background Check

TrustLine Background Check is a helpful tool for parents choosing a potential nanny or babysitter. Caregivers Registered with TrustLine, have no disqualifying criminal convictions, arrests or substantiated child abuse reports in California. TrustLine is the only background check authorized by state law to use three databases that the general public, including private investigators and private background check companies, cannot access. These databases include the fingerprint records from the California Department of Justice’s California Criminal History System; the Child Abuse Central Index of California; and fingerprint records of the FBI Criminal History System.

For additional questions about the TrustLine process please call your local Catalyst Community office.
