Caldor Fire Resources

We are sure all of you know someone who has been affected by the Caldor Fire in El Dorado County. Our thoughts are with all providers and families affected by this disaster.  See below for the most recent information about resources. This information was acquired from https://www.edcgov.us/Pages/Caldor-Fire-Recovery.aspx and https://www.alpinecountyca.gov/495/CALDOR-FIRE which will continue to have updated information as the disaster unfolds.  If you would like to donate,  the El Dorado County Community Foundation (below) is accepting financial donations.  Shelters are not accepting physical donations at this time.  If you know any families in need of diapers,  blankets,  PPE supplies, or emergency child care please have them contact us.

Caldor Fire Information

El Dorado County staff are in close communication with local, state and federal officials regarding the Caldor Fire in the southern part of the County. The County’s Emergency Operations Center has been activated by the Sheriff’s Office, enabling government agencies to work together as efficiently as possible.

The El Dorado Community Foundation is making resources available to those who are affected financially by the Caldor Fire. An application is accessible through the link here. There is also funding for animal-related needs, including food cost. People wishing to donate to this effort may do so by clicking here.

**Residents of all evacuation areas can pick up their mail at the Diamond Springs Post Office.** AND There is also funding for animal-related needs, including food cost.
